I’m Ryan, a proud husband to my gorgeous wife and father of four beautiful children and an avid animal lover. My passion for animals began in childhood, where I kept a variety of birds and also spent countless hours outdoors catching lizards, turtles and various insects.

While my parents didn’t allow me to have snakes, I managed to raise lizards and turtles, cultivating a deep love for freshwater fish that soon expanded into the world of saltwater fish.

Before snakes I had a considerable collection of varanids, my favourite being the spencer’s monitors; I had up to ten adults at one point! Additionally, my experience includes keeping perenties, Lacey’s, Mangroves, Goulds and various species of Odatria (dwarf monitors), alongside different dragons and skinks.

Interestingly, I was once intimidated by snakes until my close friend and mentor, Mitch from Snake Sanctum, encouraged me to face my fears, “Stop being a pussy” where his exact words, I was hooked.

My first snake a stunning albino spotted python named Mango, which I acquired from my good mate Brett Moy at Cool Vibes Reptiles— marked the beginning of my journey into the world of snakes.

Now, with over 400 snakes and a focus on breeding healthy, robust pythons, I have turned this passion into a livelihood.

Despite managing a flooring business part-time, my primary commitment is to breed and raise quality snakes. I also dedicate my time to guiding new keepers in the hobby, sharing the knowledge I’ve gained throughout my journey.
